NASHVILLE – Two people in Hawkins County have been charged with TennCare fraud for using TennCare benefits to pay for fraudulent prescriptions.

Lawrence County Woman Charged with TennCare Drug Fraud

NASHVILLE – A Lawrence County resident was charged with TennCare fraud for selling prescription pain medication that had been paid for by TennCare.

Two in Wilson County Charged with TennCare Fraud

NASHVILLE – A Wilson County woman has been charged with TennCare fraud and accused of loaning her son’s TennCare card to another person to use in payment for medical services.

Dyer County man and Woman Charged with TennCare Fraud

NASHVILLE - A Dyer County man is accused of using another person’s identity in order to fraudulently obtain TennCare benefits, and a Dyer County woman is accused of aiding and abetting him in the crime.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) today announced the arrest of Timothy C. Watson, 34, and 56-year-old Sadie Powell, both of Dyersburg.  Watson was served the arrest warrant at the Dyer County Jail, where he is currently in custody on unrelated charges.  

Jefferson County Woman Charged with TennCare Fraud

NASHVILLE - A woman from Jefferson County has been charged in Knox County with TennCare fraud for trying to use TennCare to pay for a forged prescription.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) today announced the arrest of Alicia D. Boling, 21, of Strawberry Plains. Boling faces one count of TennCare fraud and one count of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest. 

Rutherford County Woman Charged with Identity Theft, TennCare Fraud

 

NASHVILLE - A Rutherford County woman is charged with stealing the identity of a TennCare enrollee in order to obtain medical services through TennCare as payment.

Dekalb County Man Charged with TennCare Fraud

NASHVILLE - A Dekalb County man has been indicted for TennCare fraud involving “doctor shopping,” or using TennCare to pay for multiple doctor visits in a short time period with the intent of obtaining prescriptions for controlled substances.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG), with the assistance of the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office, today announced the arrest of Kenneth Hendrixson, 70, of Smithville.

Giles County Woman Charged For Third Time With TennCare Fraud

 NASHVILLE –  A Giles County woman has been charged for the third time in four months with TennCare prescription drug fraud. 

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) today announced the arrest of Kathy L. Potts, 45, of Columbia.  She is accused of one county of TennCare fraud for filling a forged prescription for the painkiller Lortab and paying for it with TennCare.  After being charged in Williamson and Giles Counties, the charge this time is in Lewis County.

 

Cheatham County Woman Charged With TennCare Drug Fraud

NASHVILLE –  A Cheatham County woman has been charged in Davidson County with TennCare fraud for selling prescription drugs paid for by TennCare.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) assisted the Metro Nashville and Cheatham County Police Departments in the arrest of Brenda Faye Sindelar, 60, of Ashland City.

 

Franklin County Woman Pleads Guilty to "Doctor Shopping" in TennCare

NASHVILLE – A Franklin County woman has pleaded guilty to “doctor shopping,” or going to multiple doctors in a 30 day period to obtain similar medications, using TennCare to pay the bill.
