Former Greene County Businesswoman Arrested on Tax Fraud Charges

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and arrest of Porshia Pauline Cutshaw on sales tax evasion charges. Cutshaw, age 56, was arrested on March 31, 2009, by deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

NASHVILLE - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and subsequent arrest of Norman Ronald Shue, age 66. On March 26, 2009, Shue the former owner of Circa Home Interiors, LLC, with locations in Davidson and Williamson counties, was booked on charges of sales tax evasion and theft in both counties. 

Washington County Business Owner Pleads Guilty on Sales Tax Evasion Charges

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. - The Department of Revenue’s Special Investigations Section conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and yesterday’s guilty plea of Gonzalo Alverez Moralez to six counts of sales tax evasion charges. Moralez, president of Ornelas, Inc., d/b/a La Carreta Mexican Restaurant located in Gray, Tenn., will be sentenced on May 18.

Revenue to Conduct Diesel Fuel Compliance Checks in Henderson County on April 6

LEXINGTON, Tenn. - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue will be conducting roadside diesel fuel compliance checks in Henderson County during daylight hours on Monday, April 6. Internal Revenue Service fuel compliance officers often participate in these checks and may be present at this location.
