Cocke County Business Owner Pleads Guilty to Sales Tax Evasion

NEWPORT, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Revenue’s Special Investigations Section conducted the investigation that led to the indictment, arrest and guilty plea of Patsy Ann Quinton, age 56. On Nov. 17, 2009, Quinton, owner of Pat’s Bar and Grill in Newport, Tenn., pleaded guilty to 36 Class E felony counts of Sales Tax Evasion.

Jackson, Tenn. - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the November 10, 2009 guilty plea of Mutee Hussein Fadah, age 39, of Madison County. Fadah, the former owner of J Mart, located at 1625 E. Chester Street, pleaded guilty to two counts of Sales Tax Evasion and one count of Theft Over $500.00.

Former Shelby County Business Owner Sentenced on Sales Tax Evasion Charges

MEMPHIS - The Tennessee Department of Revenue’s Special Investigations Section conducted the investigation that led to the Nov. 5, 2009 sentencing of Jeffrey S. Ward on tax evasion charges. Ward, the former managing partner of Blizzard Associates, LLC, was sentenced to Judicial Diversion and placed on probation for three years. As part of the sentencing, Ward was also required to pay $55,323.00 in restitution to the State of Tennessee for sales tax he collected but intentionally did not remit.

Munford, Tenn- The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the arrest of Kawaljeet “Sonny” Bains, age 36, former manager of H-K-S Fuel, Inc., located at 488 Beaver Road in Munford, Tenn. Bains was arrested at his home by special agents of the Department of Revenue and officers with the Collierville Police Department.

NASHVILLE - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Friday’s arrest of Gregory J. Bailey, age 44, owner of Millennium Computer Service in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Bailey was arrested by special agents at his home in Murfreesboro.

Sevier County Business Owner Arrested on Sales Tax Fraud Charges

 

SEYMOUR, Tenn. – The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to yesterday’s arrest of Aftab Badalpara, age 45, a corporate officer of A Noorani, Inc., dba Floyd Market in Seymour, Tenn. Badalpara was arrested at his business in Seymour by agents of the Department of Revenue. Bond was set at $100,000.

Shelby County Man Pleads Guilty to Bribery, Theft and Sales Tax Evasion

MEMPHIS -The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to guilty pleas by Guang Huang, age 60, owner of KK Market, 2200 Pendleton Street, Memphis, Tenn., and his son, Jian Huang, age 33.
