Four National Guard Units Leaving on October 17th

 NASHVILLE -- Two National Guard units from East Tennessee and two units from Middle Tennessee will depart their hometowns Friday, October 17, in the initial stage of a mobilization that will ultimately take them to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

National Guard Armory Will Be Dedicated to Unicoi Countians

 NASHVILLE – Nine World War II veterans and a Tennessee Army National Guard soldier who died while deployed with his Erwin, Tenn., unit will be honored October 18 when the armory in Erwin is dedicated in their names.

Ceremonies Will Honor Two East Tennessee National Guard Units

NASHVILLE – Tennessee National Guard soldiers from Johnson City and Erwin, together with their families, will be honored in Freedom Salute ceremonies October 17 in Johnson City.

 NASHVILLE -- Lt. Col. Joe Hollister, of Murfreesboro, has recently been assigned as Director of Family Programs for the Tennessee National Guard.
