Tennessee Schools Recognized For Energy Education Programs

ECD’s Energy Division Sponsors Awards Luncheon

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD) recently recognized Tennessee schools for their outstanding performance in energy education at this year’s Energy Education Awards Luncheon held May 12 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville. The awards luncheon was sponsored by the Tennessee Energy Education Network (TEEN), a program of ECD’s Energy Division.

“We are pleased to award these schools for their efforts in educating our future leaders on the benefits of energy conservation,” said ECD Commissioner Matthew Kisber. “We are proud to play a role in showing these students that smart use of our resources is very important to the future of our economy.”
