If you are between the ages of 10-15, hunter safety certified, and have never harvested a deer
before, you are eligible to win the hunt of a lifetime for opening day of the Tennessee’s Young
Sportsman Deer Hunt on October 25th. A gracious landowner in Humphreys County has donated
his property for this event for 30 young hunters. The private farm incorporates a variety of wild-
life management practices and totals over 2000 acres of prime deer habitat.
If selected, participants will draw from a number of predetermined sites that will have tree stands
provided.  In addition to the hunt, participants are also allowed to take part in a Friday night
cookout and campout (you must provide your own camping gear). Breakfast and lunch will also
be provided on Saturday.
The agency will hold a drawing and the winners will be notified by October 15th. Confirmation
packets will be sent which will include a map and a list of things to bring and also area hotels.
Winning hunters are responsible for providing appropriate Tennessee hunting license and must
be accompanied by a non-hunting adult at least 21 years of age or older.
