BERO To Host Tennessee Business Matchmaking 2009 Webinar Series

 Webinar Series Scheduled For Every Third Tuesday, May through December

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Business Enterprise Resource Office (BERO), a division of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, will host the Tennessee Business Matchmaking Webinar Series that will provide Tennessee’s small, minority-, and women-owned businesses a cost-effective way to learn about existing procurement opportunities with public and private entities. The first session on How to Do Business with the State of Tennessee is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19. 
 
The webinar is a free service provided by BERO and the Small Business Association. The series will be held every third Tuesday, May through December from 10-11 a.m. CST/11 a.m.-12 p.m. EST and is free and open to the public. Registration is mandatory and participants can sign up for the webinar by calling 1-800-872-7201. Any interested participants who cannot attend the live series can go to http://www.tnecd.gov/matchmaking to view the recorded webinars.
 
Since April 2006, BERO has hosted six Tennessee Business Matchmaking events in Johnson City, Knoxville, Nashville, Franklin, Jackson and Memphis, where over 3,277 one-on-one business appointments were held between 904 small businesses and 286 procurement officials. The webinar series is the continuation of BERO’s commitment to providing procurement opportunities to small and diverse businesses.
