Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence Announces 2009 Board

ECD Commissioner Matt Kisber to Serve on Board of Directors
 
NASHVILLE — The non-profit Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE) has announced its Board of Directors for 2009, and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Matt Kisber will serve. TNCPE is an economic development organization that provides regional organizations access to low-cost performance improvement services and education.

 

“I am honored to serve on TNCPE’s Board of Directors,” Kisber said. “The service this organization provides to Tennessee communities is essential in preparing them to attract and grow business, ultimately creating jobs and improving quality of life.”
 
TNCPE’s mission is to lead organizations in the pursuit of performance excellence, improving results and contributing to the economic vitality of their region.

TNCPE is based on the Baldrige National Quality Program, providing organizational improvement programming, primarily in the framework of an awards program. In addition to workshops and learning events throughout the year, TNCPE hosts the Excellence in Tennessee Conference in February to further promote and share performance excellence initiatives.
